The application process

  • Discuss your idea with the IBIC team to shape your idea.
  • Read the IBIC handbook and develop your proposal with partners.

  • Knowledge exchange - for early-stage ideas and proof-of-concept
  • Commercialisation - for ideas ready to scale up

Knowledge exchange schemes Commercialisation schemes

  • Submit your application and required documents.
  • IBIC will confirm receipt, check everything is complete, and let you know when to expect a decision.

  • Your proposal is anonymised and reviewed by the IBIC Grant Review Panel.
  • Decisions are typically made within a few weeks of the deadline.

  • If successful, you’ll receive an offer letter.
  • Project agreements (and non-disclosure agreements where needed) must be in place before the project starts.

  • Run your project with support from IBIC.
  • You’ll submit financial and progress reports, plus a final and follow-on impact report.
